A week ago I heard Todd Friel ask what would happen if five hundred evangelist decided hit one city with the Gospel of Jesus Christ instead of doing a flashy and expensive Ra Ra Rally.

Well it sort of stuck with me and I decided to pose the question to a group of evangelist. They were all excited about it and mentioned that they would all be at the "Deeper Conference" in October, near Atlanta.

One thing lead to another and now there is a website for those who want to take part in this.

The idea is that after the deeper conference on Saturday the 18th of October we will head over to Downtown Atlanta and just infect the city with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. How could this change a city? Who will hear the Gospel and respond? Only God knows. What we do know is the impact of the first five hundred to take hold of the Gospel mentioned in 1st Corinthians.

So if you are already going to the Deeper Conference all we ask is that you stay one more night (as opposed to going back home Saturday night) and go with us and hit the streets.

Has the fight against abortion grown apathetic?

Recently I have gotten into the Pro-Life movement as I have been reading articles, watching videos and studying the issue in general. The more I hear about it and the more radical pro-choice people I talk to, the angrier I become.

It just seems that we have become apathetic...

The abortion issue has become in every way, exactly like slavery. People hate it, but they fear that nothing can be done. The ones that do support it have loss all sense of rationality.

"What about clothes hangar abortions?"

What about them...

I remember watching the movie of Gideon v. Wainwright about the right to a lawyer.

A very important line was in that movie. One of the justices said "How will the states afford lawyers for everyone" the other justice replied, "Whether a state can afford a Lawyer has nothing do with whether the people have the right to one."

Clothes hangar abortions have nothing to do with whether or not a Life is Life.

It's because of these "side" issues that the pro-life population has become apathetic.

In the political arena all you hear is that there is nothing that can be done, therefore Abortion has become nothing more then a way to divide up parties and votes.

But there is something that can be done...

We need to fight for life. Now I am not talking about an actual civil war, because that would be a pointless dose of irony. However, the same passion that was used to try and free the slaves at the cost of risking ones life, needs to be put into the Pro-Life movement. Better yet, the same passion that ended segregation.

We need peaceful, outspoken and loud protests nearly everyday, that rival the marches of Martin Luther King.

We need walk outs, sit-ins, and very public protests for the lives of the unborn that are killed daily with no voice.

This brings me to the Silent Protests.

The Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity is held in October. It is one day of the year that is dedicated to not speaking in support of those who have no voice. I believe this is a great thing as I will be taking part in it myself, but I do not think it is the only event pro-life supporters can take part in.

The last thing we need to do is be silent. We need to be loud. We have a war to win, and many battles remain.

So what can we do?

A lot of people say that all hope lies in the supreme court. This may be true. I don't personally believe the supreme court has as much power as it thinks it does. I think with enough noise from the populace, the people can petition the court to overturn a bad law. However, it would not be easy, it would be unprecedented and would require anything but silence.

If we cannot petition the supreme court, then we can petition the congress to enact laws that would by default, immediately upon the presidents signature, go straight to the Supreme Court for review. We can force congress to make a bad law.

This would require as much protest and phone calls to congress as the Immigration bill this summer...If not a whole lot more.

I'll be honest. I do not know what to do. It seems impossible, there are a lot of factors. But I watch the movie "Amazing Grace" about William Wilberforce and see how he fought his entire life with nothing but apathy in his way.

It only shows me that...We can do this

They need us.

*Just a side note. This in no way was meant to attack Silent Day, only to say that Silent Day should not be the only major protest. We need more. Silent Day should be the only day of the year we allow voices to rest from protest.

I actually enjoy the show MythBusters...

Occasionally they have some real good stuff, and they do a very through job investigating things.

Bank Teller loses twins at bank robbery....Even the Pro-Choicers are angry!!!

Before I begin, let me say that what happened with Katherin Shuffield is a tradgedy and I cannot possibly know how she feels. The following is not meant to bring scorn or mockery on her or her family. She is in my prayers...

As many have heard Katherin Shuffield was a bank teller in Indianapolis workin diligently when she became victim to a bank robbery, she was shot and as a result her twins which were growing inside of her were killed. Many people are shocked, it's on all of the news channels. There is a baby killer on the loose.

But why is this such a tragedy?

If babies inside the womb are nothing more then fetal tissue why is it so devastating to hear that they died? Was it because of how they died? Was a gun shot not medicinal or sanitary enough?

According to the Pro-Murder movement the shock we feel is not a result of the babies who were killed, after all that was not life that was killed, nearly 'cells' that ceased to replicate...

Or was the tragedy of this situation that the mother did not want to exterminate her children, by her own free will and was deprived of choice?

Tell that to the mother of the children who were killed, tell that to Katherin Shuffield who's can no longer feel her twins kick anymore. There was life inside of her. Whether or not they were killed by vacuum cleaners, or a gun...her babies died.

Which brings me to a T-Shirt.

Yes. Of course it will bother you, unless you are somehow inhuman or a mass serial killer.

Because life is killed. It's a tradgedy. The fact that we allow it in our country, the fact that they are as common if not more then Plastic Surgeries, is a stain on this country and cannot possible be reasoned.

This proves there is no rational argument for the Pro-Choicer. None.

Who says God does not heal amputee's?

I am a firm believer that God allows miracle healing through scientific advancement. He in know way is required to allow us to discover how his world works, but occasionally he does. Antibiotics, chemotherapy, vaccines, anesthesia, modern medicine...They are miracles of God.
